Why do I need to keep my gutters clean?

1) To prevent leaks

As a roofing company that specialises in resolving roof leaks, we see all too often a leak that could easily have been avoided with a regular gutter clean. When gutters become full water does not easily flow and can fill the gutters during rain, overflowing back into the roof space.

2) To extend the life of your gutters! When a build-up of dirt & debris sits in your gutter it hold moisture after rain for a long period of time. This will rust & deteriorate your gutters much sooner than if they are clear.

 

3) To deter birds and insects

Full gutters can attract fungus and vegetation that attract wildlife.

 

4) As a safe bushfire measure

In bushfire prone suburbs it is even more important to keep gutters clear of debris that can easily catch alight in a fire.

How often should I clean my gutters?

 

This depends on how quickly your gutters fill with leaves and debris, but generally once a year for most properties is sufficient, and twice yearly for properties that are surrounded by more trees.

Do I need to be present for the service to be provided?

 

No. We can perform the services without your presence. If we need access to the inside of your property we can prearrange access.
